Memorials
"If you are able, save for them a place inside of you and save one backward glance when you are leaving for the places they can no longer go.
Be not ashamed to say you loved them, though you may or may not have always. Take what they have taught you with their dying and keep it with your own.
And in that time when men decide and feel safe to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace those gentle heroes you left behind.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall
Memorial Day - Monday May 30, 2016 - Eight more names were added to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall during the 2016 annual Memorial Day Observance. The 58,315 names etched into The Wall commemorate the members of America's armed forces who have made the ultimate sacrifice or who remain missing in action. These are names of military personnel who were wounded in Vietnam between 1957 and 1975 and ultimately died of their wounds. (1959 and 1975 are the years inscribed on The Wall. The first casualty on Panel 1 East, Line 1 dates from 1959. However, the name of a service member who died in 1957 was added after The Wall was dedicated.)
